Firefighters Battle Blaze on Wild Horse Mountain Road

The Brent Rural Fire Department and Sallisaw Fire Department are still on the scene of a residence fire on Wild Horse Mountain Road, about one mile west of U.S. Highway 59 south of Sallisaw. Brent firefighters called for Sallisaw's help at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The fire involved the east wing of the home, and was well into the upper part of the structure when firefighters arrived. Smoke was billowing from the east end of the structure and loud popping noises could be heard as firemen fought the blaze. The Mix 105.1 will publish more information about the fire as soon as it is available. By Sally Maxwell, Senor News Director
