Sallisaw's Taco Mayo fast-food restaurant closed its doors Tuesday, but no one involved would say exactly why. Jennifer Dodd, a partner in the franchise, said from the Fort Smith restaurant, "It is closing. But we are still in Fort Smith and Poteau and we invite our customers to visit." Neither Dodd nor the manager of the Sallisaw restaurant or the regional supervisor, in Sallisaw to assist with the closing, would say if a lack of business was the reason for the closing. "I am not going to comment on that," Dodd said. "It was a business decision." They would not comment on how many employees at the Sallisaw restaurant would lose their jobs or if they would be offered jobs at the nearby restaurants. The manager at the Sallisaw site said, "No one is authorized to make comments at this time." Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
