Fire Marshal Joins Investigation into Burned Truck

The Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office and a State Fire Marshal are still working on solving a case involving a utility truck found burning on State Highway 101 at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, Sequoyah County Under Sheriff Roger Fuller said Friday afternoon. Fuller said, "The investigators and the fire marshal are working on it, but it's still hot. They have to get the VIN number off of it so they can find the owner. It was burned bad." Sheriff Ron Lockhart said earlier that the truck may have been stolen. It was seen by a passerby who called 911 Friday morning. No one was found with the truck. Fuller said the truck was close to Scratch Out on Highway 101, just north of New Hope. Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
