A bench warrant was issued in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw, for a Stilwell man accused of home repair fraud because he did not complete a swimming pool construction project for a Sallisaw family. The affidavit filed with the fraud charge reports Glenn William Yates, 30, owner of Aquatic Pools LLC, was to construct a 14 by 25 foot swimming pool for the family. The investigator reports that from late May until July 8 the Sallisaw client paid Yates $10,800 for the project, which was to cost a total of $18,000. But the construction was not completed, and the client filed a complaint with Sallisaw police on July 8. The investigator reported he found a case file by the Arkansas attorney general in which Yates with Aquatic Pools LLC "had defrauded more than eight consumers in Northwest Arkansas causing the attorney general to file a complaint under the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Act." A $5,000 bond was set on Yates in District Court. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
