Pedestrian Injured in Accident Near Vian


A vehicle-pedestrian accident in Sequoyah County sent one woman to the hospital Monday afternoon.

Susan Nardini, 70, of Stigler, was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital after she was struck by a vehicle at approximately 2:07 p.m., three miles west of Vian on U.S. 64, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Billy Ross, 76, of Stigler, was driving a 2008 Ford F150 eastbound on U.S. 64 and Nardini was sitting near a driveway on private property on U.S. 64. The OHP reports that Ross turned into the private drive and struck Nardini with the left side of his vehicle.

Nardini was transported by Life Flight to St. John’s Tulsa and was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries. Ross was not injured in the accident.
