The Sallisaw City Swimming Pool opens for the season on Memorial Day weekend. City and parks personnel have been working to get the pool ready for opening day on Saturday, May 26.
Parks Supervisor Lee Risley said the pool has been painted and crews are in the process of cleaning it and will start filling it with water this week so they can add the chemicals to get the water balanced.
Admission is $2 per person this year. An individual season pass is $30 per person. A family pass is $50 for a family of three or more.
The pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; 1 to 7:45 p.m. on Saturdays; and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays and holidays; they are closed Mondays. Residents can enjoy swimming at the pool until Labor Day weekend in September.
The phone number at the pool is 918-775-2080.
