On Saturday, April 28, 2018, Carl Albert State College crowned a new Homecoming King and Queen as the events of its annual Alumni Weekend celebrations concluded.
The ceremony was held in the Costner-Balentine Student Center before the CASC Vikings challenged the Murray State Aggies at home on the Poteau campus.
Student clubs from both Poteau and Sallisaw campuses were represented in the ceremony through their club-voted student delegation.
The new Viking Homecoming King is Mika Sam, of Philadelphia, Miss., and Queen Cassidy Hemphill, of Poteau, Okla. The pair represented the CASC Native American Club.
