Students, Officials Visit for Higher Education


Students, faculty and representatives from Oklahoma’s public colleges and universities gathered at the state capitol Tuesday to promote the value and importance of higher education in the state. Meeting for the Higher Education Day event are, from the left, the Carl Albert State College (CASC) delegation and state officials including CASC Regent Carroll Huggins; CASC Vice President for Student Affairs Randy Graves; CASC SGA President Lake Cagle, a sophomore from Keota; State Rep. Rick West; CASC student Thomas Oare, a freshman from Wister; CASC student Graylen Fletcher, a freshman from Vian; State Rep. John Bennett; State Senator Joseph Silk; State Senator Mark Allen; CASC student Savannah Gillham, a freshman from Poteau; CASC President Jay Falkner; and CASC Regent Dwight Spencer.
