Rodney Hall Hodges, 40, of Sallisaw entered a not guilty plea Wednesday to a first-degree murder charge in Sequoyah County District Court.
His next court appearance is slated for March 28 on Associate District Court Judge Kyle Waters’ disposition docket, according to court records.
Hodges is accused of the fatal stabbing of Kenneth Reed, 37, of Sallisaw on Feb. 6.
According to the Sallisaw police officer’s report filed with the charge, Hodges allegedly stabbed Reed in the chest during an altercation at the home of Jimmy Prater at 703 N. Main in Sallisaw.
Hodges is being held without bond in the Sequoyah County Detention Center in Sallisaw.
