Two Suspects Arrested in Drug Investigation

Two Sallisaw residents were arrested Monday when Sallisaw police and the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at a home at 807 S. Walnut St.

Hunter Locust Christie and Sidia Nieto, ages unavailable, were both booked into the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw.

Police Chief Terry Franklin reported the search warrant uncovered five plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance that field tested positive as methamphetamine. The bags weighed over 60 grams. A set of digital scales were also found during the search.
