Bucky Barnes of Gore is in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Spotlight for February. Barnes is one of two maintenance workers at the Tenkiller Ferry Lake Project Office who ensure the facilities at Corps owned campsites and recreation areas operate safely and efficiently. Barnes grew up in Gore, and attended Gore High School. He and his wife, Sharlene, have two children, LeeAnna and Blane.
Barnes said, "I've worked at the Tenkiller project office for four years. Before I came to work here I was a machine tender for Georgia Pacific in Muskogee. I like being able to work in the area where I grew up, and being around good people. I like the fact that we have good people who are helpful working here at the Tenkiller Lake Office."
