A 16-year-old Muldrow boy was Lifeflighted to a Tulsa hospital Sunday following a crash caused by icy roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported.
The OHP reported the boy was admitted to St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa and is listed in stable condition with head and internal trunk injuries. A 15-year-old girl in the vehicle was reported not injured, the OHP reported. The OHP does not release the names of juveniles involved in vehicle crashes.
The crash occurred at about 9:16 a.m. Sunday on a county road a half mile south of Muldrow. The 16-year-old was driving a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck north on a county road when the truck hit an icy patch on an overpass, ran off the road to the left and struck a tree.
