County Unemployment Continues to Drop

Sequoyah County’s unemployment rate dropped 0.3 percent from November to December the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) reported this week.

The OESC reported the county’s unemployment rate was at 6.3 percent in November and dropped to 6.0 percent in December.

The county has 1,009 persons unemployed and 15,862 working, with a total labor force of 16,871, the OESC reported.
