Sallisaw Implements New Landfill Rules for Residents

The City of Sallisaw has established new rules for residents' use of the landfill. Residential customers may now utilize the landfill, free of charge, two days each month to dispose of residential type trash and debris.

Days utilized are the residents' choice. However an original, current city utility bill must be presented, along with a picture ID. The address on the utility bill and address on the ID must match. The utility bill presented will receive a stamp, indicating a free dump has been utilized. Residents are allowed two stamps per month. Under no circumstances will a copy of a utility bill be accepted. This privilege is for residential customers. The landfill will not accept commercial/contractor debris and no shingles.

For more information, contact the city at (918) 775-6241 or by email at
