Deputies Respond to Report of Possible Homicide

On Tuesday around 7:35 p.m. Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department dispatch received a call regarding a possible homicide at a residence north of McQuick's store on Highway 82 north of Vian.

Upon arrival at the residence deputies found a 31-year-old male subject unconscious on the floor of the home's garage. First responders had already arrived at the scene and were administering CPR. The subject appeared to have trauma injuries to the face and head. He was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Another male that was discovered at the scene was placed under arrest according to Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart.  Lockhart stated the male subject was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

"Investigators are currently processing the scene and talking to witnesses," stated Lockhart. He added that more information will be available tomorrow.
