Sallisaw Announces Fall Cleanup Starts Oct. 5

Sallisaw's fall cleanup will begin Oct. 5.

According to the city, all items must be separated and at the curb no later than 7 a.m. and should not be put at the curb until one week before Oct. 5. Brush, junk and metal must be piled separately. Do not stack items near water meters, gas meters or fire hydrants. The Environmental Protection Agency prohibits the city from picking up tires, batteries, oil, paint or hazardous materials. 

The fall cleanup service is only for residential customers inside Sallisaw city limits. Any debris left by contractors must be disposed of by the contractor. The city will not pick up any debris left from land clearing.

The city crews will go through each neighborhood one time.
