Police Ask Public to be on the Lookout

The Sallisaw Police Dept and Sequoyah County Sheriff's Dept are currently searching for an individual that was involved in a high speed chase just moments ago. The individual, along with a female, led Roland police on a chase from Roland to Sallisaw on Interstate 40 with speeds reaching 135 mph. The female was arrested but the male abandoned the vehicle and escaped on foot. The man was last seen near Drury Lane in Sallisaw. He is believed to be in the area between Village West Apts. and Wal-Mart. He is described as a white man with a scruffy face and was last scene wearing a gray shirt. Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin asks anyone who might see this man to please contact the Sallisaw Police Dept. at 918-775-4141.
