Two Injured in Crash

Two were injured in a single vehicle crash at 10:52 p.m. Saturday on Moonshine Road when the driver swerved to avoid a deer, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported.

The OHP said Gary Armer 55, of Gore was driving a 2007 Ford pickup south on Moonshine Road when he swerved to miss a deer, then ran off the road to the right. The truck then came back on the road, ran off the road to the left and Armer overcorrected to the right and ran off the road to the right again. The truck came to a stop in a ditch.

The OHP reported Armer was transported by personal vehicle to Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah where he was treated and released. A passenger, James Martin, 34, of Vian was also transported by personal vehicle to Hastings Hospital then on to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted for arm injuries.
