The Old Sallisaw High School is being lighted for the holidays by members of the old Sallisaw High School Association.
A lighting ceremony, with refreshments, will be held Nov. 28. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the lighting will be at 6 p.m.
Association members said a tree at the center of the park and hedges have been strung with Christmas lights, and a Santa has been placed in a top window of the rotunda.
The property now has surveillance cameras in place to deter any vandalism, which has plagued the property in the past.
“We are lighting up the old high school and everyone is welcome,” association members said.
