Sequoyah County’s unemployment rate dropped half a
percentage in September the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reported
Wednesday.
The county’s unemployment rate was reported at 5.9 percent
in September, down half a percent from the 6.4 percent rate reported in both
August and July.
In September, the commission reported the county had a total
labor force of 16,735, with 15,669 working and 1,066 unemployed.
