A Spiro man was listed in serious condition Saturday in a Fort Smith hospital and a crash is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The OHP reported the collision occurred at about 1:23 p.m. Saturday on Lock and Dam Road, one mile east and one mile north of Spiro.
Christopher Hargis, 45, of Spiro was a passenger in a 2004 Ford truck driven by Kenneth Hargis Jr., 80, also from Spiro. After a collision with an unknown white truck, which left the scene, Christopher Hargis was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith where he was admitted in serious condition with head, leg, arm and internal trunk injuries.
Kenneth Hargis was also transported to the same hospital where he was treated and released.
