It's a blood battle July 28 and 29--a blood-donation battle between the Sallisaw Police Department and Fire Department. It's time for the Sallisaw Guns & Hoses Blood Drive.
The blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. both days, July 28 and 29, in the conference room at the Sallisaw Civic Center. Each donor will receive a limited-edition T-shirt and two zoo admissions while supplies last.
To make an appointment, call Jim Davidson at 479-652-2364, or sign up in the lab at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital. The hospital is sponsoring the blood drive, which will be conducted by the Oklahoma Blood Institute, Texas Blood Institute and Arkansas Blood Institute.
