Library Offers Free Movie, Music, Audio-Book Service

Hoopla is the new free service offered at Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in Sallisaw. Hoopla offers library card holders, who are in good standing, free streaming movies, audio books, music and more, Bethia Owens, librarian, said.

The service became available July 1. Owens said, "It's a streaming service. The good thing is you get it immediately. There is no waiting, no holds. If 10 or 20 people ask for the same thing, they all get it at the same time. And it has auto check-in so you get no fines." The borrower must have Internet service, Owens said, and is limited to 10 items per month.

Owens said movies may be borrowed for three days, audio books are borrowed for 21 days and music is borrowed for seven days. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hoopla is available system wide through the Eastern Oklahoma District Library System.
