Student Nurses Reach Out to Others

Making a difference in the lives of others is an ongoing priority of the Carl Albert State College (CASC) Student Nurse Association.

This past month, members of the organization made cards and delivered to the Oaks Healthcare Facility in Poteau. Cards were also delivered in Sallisaw to the Sequoyah County Assisted Living Facility. According to Maurica Anderson, a CASC Nursing instructor, the students enjoy the opportunity to help in the community and this was their spring 2016 project selected for this year.

Poteau students helping included Micale Gilbert, Kaitlyn Hoffman, Brianna Still, Ronni Jo Killion, Christina Wingate, Crystal Cox, Kayla Turner, and Donna Forrest.

The Sallisaw students taking part in the project were Courtney Frazier, Salem Solberg, Teddi Meek, Emily Britton, Karina Stacy, Tuan Nguyen, Sabrina Lawson, Sabrina Archer, Megan Shackleford, William Edgmon, Amanda Taylor, Shirley Brown, Sheeri Chasteen, Kirbi Walker, Vanessa Washington, Amye Greene, Alice Miller, Lacy Branham, Randy McAllister, and Daniel Jacobs.
