The Lake Tenkiller Fireworks Extravaganza, cancelled on the July 4 holiday due to high water, will explode during the Labor Day holiday at dusk on Sept. 6. The extravaganza has been renamed and is now the "Last Shot at Summer on Tenkiller."
John Ellis, president of the Greater Tenkiller Area Association (GTAA), said the show will be at Tenkiller State Park, and may be seen from almost any area near the Lake Tenkiller dam. He said the show is also visible from the water south of Snake Creek Marina.
Contributions are still being taken to help pay for the show, and may be sent to GTAA, P.O. Box 916, Gore, OK 74435.
