College Police to Investigate Bomb Threat
The investigation into a bomb threat, scribbled on a mirror in a bathroom at Carl Albert State College Sallisaw campus, will be conducted by the college's police. It was reported an instructor first saw the message, which read only "Bomb today." Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin said the city police received the call for assistance at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday, and were joined in the immediate investigation by deputies with the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The officers cleared the buildings, and students, who were evacuated immediately, were allowed to return to classes at 11:15 a.m. Judi White, the college's spokeswoman, said, the college, ". . .followed all policies and proceedures. The all-clear was given after authorities secured the area and determined the buildings to be safe." Stay tuned to KXMX for the latest news, or visit www.kxmx.com.
