At 4 a.m. this morning deputies with the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Dept. responded to a call regarding a woman who had been found in a ditch with multiple gunshot wounds.
A homeowner east of Muldrow near the county barn area called authorities after finding the woman as they were leaving for work.
According to Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart the woman has been transferred to a Fort Smith hospital in critical condition. The woman's identity has not been released yet.
