Muldrow Man Pleads Guilty to Bomb Threat

Eric Wayne Lockhart, 30, of Muldrow entered a guilty plea in U.S. Federal Court in Muskogee to a charge of using a telephone to make a bomb threat.

The charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 or both.

The indictment alleged that on June 15 Lockhart, by telephone, made a threat to kill, injure and intimidate an individual by explosive. The charge was the result of an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. District Court Judge Kimberly E. West accepted the plea and ordered a pre-sentence report. Sentencing will be scheduled after the report's completion. Lockhart remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals pending the sentence hearing.
