The Fireworks Extravaganza at Lake Tenkiller has been rescheduled again. It will now be on Sept. 6. Originally scheduled for the Fourth of July, the show was cancelled due to the high water level on the lake. The show was then to be held on Sept. 5, but John Ellis, president of the Greater Tenkiller Area Association, announced, "My apologies to all the college football fans that also enjoy Lake Tenkiller. I did not realize the Sept. 5 date I selected for the rescheduling of the 2015 Fireworks Extravaganza was also the date of opening home games for OU, OSU. Tulsa and Arkansas. This oversight has been fixed. The Fireworks Extravaganza will be held Sunday evening, Sept. 6."
Ellis encouraged everyone to go to their football games on Saturday, then come to the fireworks show on Sunday, Sept. 6, the day before Labor Day.
