The federal grand jury in U.S. District Court in Muskogee has issued an indictment against Eric Wayne Lockhart, 30, of Muldrow, alledging he, on June 15 through the use of a telephone, made a threat to kill, injure and intimidate an individual by means of an explosive. The charge arose from an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The charge is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine or both.
The U.S. Attorney's press release did not go into detail on the investigation, but county court records reveal two protective orders were issued against Lockhart on June 30, and were requested by two different parties.
