An 8-year-old boy from Roland was hospitalized Sunday after a car crash on State Highway 101. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) does not release the names of juvenile involved in wrecks. The OHP reported a 16-year-old boy from Roland was driving a 2003 Saturn east on State Highway 101 when he left the road to the left, and struck a tree. The car came to a stop in a ditch. The driver, another 16-year-old boy who was from Muldrow, and a 9-year-old boy from Roland were not injured in the crash, the OHP reported. The injured child was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa and listed in stable condition with leg injuries. The crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
