A Muldrow man was charged in district court last week with two counts of second-degree forgery. Michael Todd Jeremiah, 26, is alleged to have stolen personal checks from a relative, and cashed one, for $150, while the other, for $90, was turned down. Jeremiah admitted to the Sallisaw police officer that he did cash the checks but it was for a third party who threatened Jeremiah. He was arrested July 14 and booked without incident, the arresting officer reported. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
