High Speed Pursuit Ends in Motorcycle Crash


At approximately 1:15 p.m. the Roland police department informed the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Sallisaw Police Department of a high speed pursuit involving a motorcycle on Interstate 40 traveling west. Both the Sallisaw Police Department and several OHP units joined in the pursuit on the east side of Sallisaw. As the motorcycle entered the construction area near Sallisaw Creek the motorcycle rider crashed. An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the rider to the hospital. The condition of the rider is not known at this time and the name is being withheld at present.
