Oct. 16-18 is Youth Deer Gun Season

Mark your calendars for Oct. 16-18! Those are the dates for the 2020 Oklahoma youth deer gun season and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has compiled all the details you need to understand and make the most of this great hunting opportunity.

Youth deer gun season hunters can harvest two deer. However, if you head to the woods with three deer licenses (two antlerless and on antlered), you’ll be ready for any scenario. Just remember that the youth deer gun season limit of two deer may include no more than one antlered deer. Also, all deer taken during the youth deer gun season are included in the hunter’s combined season limit of six deer, but are not included as part of the hunter’s regular deer gun season limit of four deer.

Get more tips for youth deer gun season from the Outdoor Oklahoma Journal, the Wildlife Department’s blog for all things hunting and fishing. For more information, visit www.wildlifedepartment.com.
