Golf Scramble Set for May 20

Golfers will have an opportunity to help provide scholarships to area students attending Carl Albert State College by participating in the 15th annual Cherokee Nation Casino/Carl Albert State College Scholarship Golf Scramble.

The event is scheduled for May 20 in Sallisaw.

The four-person team, 18-hole scramble will be held at Shadow Creek Country Club with registration at 8 a.m. and tee-off at 9 a.m.  The entry fee is $50 per person or $200 per team, and the cost includes cart, green fee, lunch, beverages and a goodie bag.

The first-place team will win $600, with the second-place team winning $460. A wild card drawing for third place will also take place and award $300 to that team. There will be prizes for longest putt, longest drive, closest to the pin, and for holes-in-one on par 3 holes.

Paul Marshall helps organize the scramble each year, and stated that pre-registration is required.  He can be contacted at 918-776-9242.
