Muldrow Man Missing from Deer Camp

Sebastian County law enforcement agencies are searching for a Muldrow man last seen Sunday at a deer camp atop Poteau Mountain in south Sebastian County. According to a press release from the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, Wylie Peters, 22, was last seen at about 10 a.m. Sunday by his father, one-half mile from a forest service road on top of the mountain, south of Hartford, Arkansas, which is south of Fort Smith. Peters is described as a white male, six feet, one inch tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has short sandy-brown hair and a goatee, and was last seen wearing a hunter's orange vest with a camouflage cap, a Carhartt-style jacket and camouflage pants. Searching are the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, Sebastian County Search and Rescue, Scott County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas Game and Fish, and the U.S. Forestry Service. Authorities began the search Monday, and resumed the search at daybreak Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call 479-783-1051. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
