The Town of Vian is holding a Clean-Up Day from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, when Vian residents may dump their trash.
The town will be accepting pickup loads of trash at the town garage on Main Street, but those participating must bring proof they are a resident of Vian by presenting a Vian Public Works Authority water bill. The first pickup load is free and anyone with more than a pickup load of trash must pay $10.
Vian officials hope the clean-up will encourage residents to clean up their homes and yards.
Items that will not be accepted are batteries, tires, appliances with Freon, or hazardous waste.
