A Cookson man was indicted this month by a federal grand jury in the U.S. District Court in Muskogee.
Leon Richard Autry, 42, is accused of possessing with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. The indictment alleges the felonies occurred on March 2.
According to reports, this was the second time in a month Autry was arrested on drug-related charges. The charges arose from an investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the Tahlequah Police and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
