Golfers will have an opportunity to help provide scholarships to area students attending Carl Albert State College by participating in the 14th annual Cherokee Nation Casino/Carl Albert State College Scholarship Golf Scramble. The scramble will be held May 21 in Sallisaw.
The four-person team, 18-hole scramble will be held at Shadow Creek Country Club with tee-off at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $50 per person or $200 per team, and the cost includes cart, green fee, lunch, beverages and goodie bag.
The first-place team will win $600, with the second-place team winning $460. A wild card drawing for third place will also take place and award $300 to that team. There will be prizes for longest putt, longest drive, and closest to the pin.
Paul Marshall helps organize the scramble each year and stated that pre-registration is required. He can be contacted at 918-776-9242.
