Darryl Wayne McGowin, 32, of Gore, was killed Sunday after he reportedly drove around crossing gates and onto train tracks at Gore, Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson said.
The crash was reported to have occurred in Muskogee County. Pearson said high flood water caused rescue personnel to have to detour through Webbers Falls to get to the scene.
The Union Pacific crew members on board the train were not injured, a spokesman said, and the scene was cleared by about 10 a.m. Sunday.
