Five Marijuana Dispensaries Licensed in Sequoyah County

The days of legal licensed medical marijuana dispensaries are here for the State of Oklahoma and for Sequoyah County.

Business plans are underway and in progress for over 743 dispensaries in over 130 towns in the state. Sequoyah County is no exception. The first filings show five dispensaries are licensed and approved for the county.

There are currently three licensed in Sallisaw and two in Roland. Those licensed for Sallisaw are Dogwood Greens LLC., Natural Meds Farm Inc., and Green Horizons LLC,. In Roland the newly licensed shops are Earthly Mist LLC, and Guzman Enterprises LLC.

State officials confirm that many more filings are expected. The state license costs each entrepreneur $2,500. These dispensaries will be supplied by licensed cannabis growers who number over 1100 on file with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA). The OMMA is responsible for licensing, regulating and administering the newly voter approved state law.

Additional numbers show that 18,601 patients in our state have been approved for medical relief pending a physician's prescription. OMMA numbers show an additional 7,000 patients' applications are pending as of December 9.

The state's two largest cities will be saturated with legal dispensaries. Tulsa's number is presently growing with over 129 facilities and 264 are on the books for Oklahoma City.
