Local Student Athletes Receive Awards

Kyle Garner and Chris Berton of The MIX 105.1's Game of the Week crew visited the seven high schools located within Sequoyah County this week. Their mission was to distribute the "McDonald's Regional Player of the Week" awards that were given to the athletes that stood out during the "Game of the Week" broadcasts that took place this past season. Award winners won a personalized award certificate and a "Regional Player of the Week" t-shirt. Recipients were chosen not only based on how they played during that week's specific game, but also on leadership qualities and sportsmanship as well as other intangibles that they brought to the game.

Congratulations to all of the athletes for their hard work during this football season.
