Commissioners Approve Transfers of Funds

The Board of Sequoyah County Commissioners approved an appropriations transfer at their weekly meeting Monday.

The unanimous vote approved the transfer of funds deposited by the court clerk in the county general fund to the Sequoyah County court clerk personal service or maintenance and operations account for maintenance of the office and for salaries.

The panel also heard from Clint Franklin of Benefits Select, who delivered a health-care proposal for city employees. Benefits Select is an independent agency that works with all of the medical providers in the state. The commissioners delayed voting on the issue to give Franklin more time to discuss the plan.

In addition, commissioners unanimously approved the transfer of appropriations from the T2-Maintenance and Operations account to the T8-Capital Outlay for Sequoyah County District 3. District 3 Commissioner Jim Rogers said the funds will pay for three dump trucks the county recently purchased.
