The City of Sallisaw is joining more than 2,000 communities around the nation Oct. 6-12 as they celebrate Public Power Week 2019.
Sallisaw City Manager Keith Skelton said Monday that there will be giveaways in the City Hall lobby this week and there will be a booth at this weekend’s car show.
Public power utilities like Sallisaw’s are community-owned, locally controlled, affordable, reliable and always invested in the community they serve.
The annual event is sponsored by the American Public Power Association.
