The Carl Albert State College – Sallisaw nursing program has been named No. 9 in the state of Oklahoma for 2019, according to RegisteredNursing.org.
Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represent how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond. Past and present first time NCLEX-RN “pass-rates” were analyzed weighted by year.
The NCLEX-RN exam is used by all state boards of nursing across the United States to help assess a student's competency and is required for licensure.
To determine the ranking of each qualifying program, RegisteredNursing.org used the following ranking process:
1. NCLEX-RN pass rates were analyzed going back to the most recent years of data available up to 5 years, each state may have varying years, see the data table below for each state's year range analysis
2. Schools pass rates were averaged together and weighted by the recency of the exam, for example, exam pass rates in 2018 count more towards overall rankings than scores from 2014
The CASC – Sallisaw nursing program has an average NCLEX-RN score of 91.96.
CASC’s main Poteau campus made the list at No. 16 with an average NCLEX-RN score of 88.38.
