CASC Plans Study Holiday

With Carl Albert State College (CASC) fall semester final tests scheduled for the week of Dec. 11, CASC has set aside a “study holiday” for students on Dec. 7 and 8.

“No classes will be held on Dec. 7 and 8, therefore this time is for students to concentrate on final tests preparation without the added responsibility of attending classes those two days,” said CASC Vice President of Academics Marc Willis.  “It may not be your typical holiday, but we hope this break from classes will help students prepare for final exams and help them perform better on their tests.”

The CASC campuses at both Poteau and Sallisaw will remain open and offices fully staffed on the study holiday dates.

Willis concluded, “Faculty will be available in their offices, and some may have scheduled study sessions for those seeking last minute guidance.  We hope our students will take advantage of this extra study time and extra assistance in order to make a strong finish academically as the fall semester comes to an end.”
