Entry forms for the Sallisaw Christmas Parade, “A Story Book Christmas,” and the Sallisaw Storefront Decoration contest are now available at the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce office and on line on the chamber site.
The Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 9. Sponsored by the chamber, the parade line-up will be at 5:30 p.m. under the direction of chamber member Marley Abell. Entries should check their email for their placing in the parade line up. Prize money will be awarded to the top entries in each of three categories--businesses, non-profits, and schools and churches. Awards are $125 for first, $100 for second, and $75 for third.
The entry deadline is Dec. 6, and over 50 entries are expected. Call the chamber at 918-775-2558 for more information.
The entry deadline for the Storefront Decoration contest is Dec. 8. Judging will take place on the evening of Dec. 11 and the winners will be announced on Dec. 13 at the chamber’s membership luncheon. There is no entry fee, and the winners are awarded trophies.
