Two Arrested, Face Drug Charges


Two persons were arrested by Muldrow police on Interstate 40 and were booked into the county jail on drug-related charges.

Muldrow police report Daniel Bustos, 22, and Tatyana Hopkins, age unavailable, were arrested for speeding on Interstate 40.

The Sequoyah County Detention Center, Sallisaw, lists Bustos’ age as 22 but gives no place of residence. Bustos is still being held in the county jail. Hopkins is not on the books at the detention center according to the jailer.

Sgt. Mark Harkins made the stop, and took Bustos into custody on an outstanding warrant. In the vehicle Harkins and Officer Jerry Brooks found two sets of scales, numerous baggies, 3.1 grams of Ecstasy, known as “Molly” on the street, 4.5 grams of cocaine, 5.4 grams of marijuana, and 122.9 grams of (unidentified) mushrooms.

Muldrow police report Bustos and Hopkins were transported to the detention center where they were booked for possession of a controlled, dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, second offense each, and Bustos for speeding.
