A Sallisaw woman and her mother have been charged with intimidating a witness, a felony, in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw.
Charges against Christina Lynn Dority-Ripley, 44, and her mother, Patricia Lynn Dority, were filed Thursday.
According to the police report filed with the charges, Ripley and Dority allegedly threatened a witness in a case against Robert Dority, Ripley’s brother and Patricia Dority’s son. Robert Dority is charged with misdemeanor stalking. He pleaded not guilty to that charge on Thursday.
The alleged threats by Ripley and Patricia Dority occurred between May 27 and June 1, the report alleges. Ripley allegedly threatened the witness with “physical harm” through messages via
Facebook. Patricia Dority allegedly sent messages that she would make the witness’s name “mud in this town,” and called the witness names.
Bench warrants were issued Thursday for the arrest of both women.
