Brother, Sister Accused of Intimidating Witnesses


A brother and sister have been charged with felony counts of intimidating state’s witnesses in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw.

Lacy Nicole Lewis, 32, of Vian and Jason Don Sloan, 44, of Marble City are accused of sending threatening texts and making threats face to face to a couple who are witnesses in a theft case. The charges against Lewis and Sloan were filed June 3.

Lewis is accused of contacting the female witness by text and cursing her, threatening to come to her work and threatening to hit her in the head. Transcripts of the messages are attached to the charges.

Sloan is accused of confronting the male witness at a convenience store and calling him a snitch, and telling him he would be “dealt with according to Sequoyah County street code.”

Arrest warrants were issued June 3 for both Lewis and Sloan and their bonds were set at $5,000 each.

The crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
